Two foreign stars dropped from league list

Saudi Arabian side Al-Hilal have encountered difficulties due to the foreign player limit.

Following the signing of Karim Benzema, the club were forced to remove two foreign players from their domestic league squad list.

Striker Darwin Nunez and defender Pablo Mari have been excluded to comply with the league’s foreign player regulations. Benzema’s arrival increased the number of overseas players beyond the allowed limit.

Reports indicate that both players will be ineligible for domestic league matches for the remainder of the season, but they will still be available for the AFC Champions League.
