Arsenal targeting defensive reinforcement

Arsenal have identified one of their main targets for the upcoming summer transfer window.

According to L'Equipe, the London club have started talks regarding RB Leipzig centre-back Castello Lukeba.

Leipzig set high price

RB Leipzig are reportedly demanding between €60 and €70 million for the 23-year-old defender.

Arsenal scouts watched Lukeba during the Borussia Dortmund match on February 21.

Player open to new challenge

Reports suggest Lukeba is also considering leaving Leipzig.

The French defender would prefer a move to either the English Premier League or La Liga.

This season Lukeba has played 23 matches in all competitions, scoring one goal and providing one assist.

His current contract with RB Leipzig runs until the summer of 2029.
