Real Madrid have received concerning news regarding the fitness of Jude Bellingham and Kylian Mbappe ahead of their Champions League clash with Manchester City.
According to The Athletic, both players are expected to miss the first leg of the Round of 16 tie.
Midfielder Jude Bellingham is still recovering from a thigh injury. The Madrid club hopes he will be fit in time for the second leg.
As for Kylian Mbappe, Real Madrid are also not expecting the French forward to feature in the first match against the English side. His availability for the return leg remains uncertain.
The club has not announced exact return dates for either player and does not want to risk their recovery.
The first match between Real Madrid and Manchester City will take place on March 11 at Santiago Bernabeu Stadium. The return leg is scheduled for March 17 at the Etihad Stadium.
