Brest head into the final weekend of the Ligue 1 season desperate to avoid ending the campaign on a miserable run.
The Pirates are now winless in eight consecutive league matches, a sequence that completely ended their hopes of securing another top-half finish.
Despite their poor form, Brest will still be highly motivated to deliver a positive result in front of their home supporters.
Brest’s home performances have been crucial throughout the season. The club collected 25 of their 38 league points on home soil.
They also boast a strong recent record against Angers, winning five of the last six meetings between the sides.
Angers are also enduring a disappointing finish to the campaign and remain without a win in their last eight Ligue 1 matches.
Their biggest issue has been a complete lack of attacking quality away from home. Angers have scored just 10 away league goals this season — the lowest total in the division.
Brest remain without Soumaila Coulibaly, while Mama Balde is also expected to miss out. Brendan Chardonnet and Junior Dina-Ebimbe are fitness doubts.
Angers will be without Yassin Belkhdim and Djibirin Harouna for the remainder of the season, while several other players are also struggling with fitness concerns.
Neither side enters the final weekend in strong form, but Brest’s superior home record and Angers’ attacking struggles away from home give the hosts the edge.
