Brazilian club Flamengo has released its financial report for the second quarter of 2025.
According to the report, from the beginning of the year to the end of June, 167.9 million Brazilian reals (approximately 53 million AZN) were spent on the transfer and contract renewal of players.
The transfer fees of Emerson Royal, Saul, Carrascal and Samuel Lino, who joined the team in the current transfer window, are not included in this amount.
The most expensive transfer was Juninho, who was bought from Qarabag this winter - Flamengo paid 37.2 million reais (5 million euros) for him.
32.2 million reais were paid for 50 percent of the rights to Gonzalo Plata from Qatari club Al-Sadd.
For Jorginho, who joined the team as a free agent, the club paid 14.9 million reais (bonus) and 8.8 million reais in commission. This makes a total of 23.8 million reais.
Let us recall that Juninho played 26 games in all tournaments for Flamengo this year and scored only 3 goals. However, this indicator did not satisfy the coaching staff. For this reason, the issue of renting the 28-year-old striker to foreign clubs was recently raised.
