Inter Miami co-owner Jorge Mas has revealed how much Lionel Messi earns at the MLS club.

Speaking to Bloomberg, Mas said that the presence of global football stars is one of the main reasons major sponsors are eager to work with the club.

“Messi is worth every penny”

Mas emphasized that the Argentine forward fully justifies his salary.

“Players are expensive. I pay Messi and he is worth every penny. The figure is around $70–80 million per year,” Mas said.

However, he did not provide further details about Messi’s contract structure or additional payments.

The 38-year-old Lionel Messi has been playing for Inter Miami since the summer of 2023.
