Qarabag star linked with money-driven move

Qarabag head coach Gurban Gurbanov recently revealed that one of his players had approached him regarding a transfer offer “only worth going for the money.”

The identity of the unnamed footballer has now emerged — it is Brazilian midfielder Pedro Bicalho.

The 24-year-old defensive midfielder joined Qarabag from Palmeiras last summer and quickly became a key figure in the squad. He was also named Man of the Match in the UEFA Champions League clash between Benfica and Qarabag.

Reports suggest the offer received by Bicalho was financially attractive. However, his contract with Qarabag runs until June 2028.
