Mohamed Salah and Alexis Mac Allister will return to the Liverpool starting lineup when they take on Brentford at the Gtech Community Stadium on Saturday.

Jeremie Frimpong is the latest absentee after picking up a hamstring injury earlier this week in the UEFA Champions League clash with Eintracht Frankfurt. The Dutchman has joined Alisson Becker (thigh) and Giovanni Leoni (knee) in the treatment room.

Meanwhile, Slot is sweating over the fitness of Alexander Isak (groin) and Ryan Gravenberch (ankle). The former picked up his issue earlier this week against Eintracht Frankfurt, while the latter sustained his problem against Manchester United. Meanwhile, during his pre-match press conference, Slot provided fitness updates on Isak and Gravenberch.

The Liverpool manager said, “Alex, not too bad. [A] question mark for the weekend, so let’s see where he is then. And that’s the same to be said about Ryan. He didn’t travel with us [to Frankfurt], so today we are in again. Yesterday we were in as well but we had a day to travel. Let’s see where he is today.”

Giorgi Mamardashvilli will continue to deputise for Alisson between the sticks, with Liverpool lining up in a 4-2-3-1 formation in front of him against Brentford on Saturday. The backline will feature Conor Bradley, Ibrahima Konate, Virgil van Dijk, and Andrew Robertson.

As for the midfield unit, Alexis Mac Allister will return to the team to line up alongside Dominik Szoboszlai in the double pivot.
