Paris Saint-Germain have arguably the best midfield in the world. It was the unbreakable trio of Vitinha, Joao Neves, and Fabián Ruiz that guided Les Parisiens to their maiden UEFA Champions League title.
In reserve, there is plenty of talent too, with the likes of Warren Zaire-Emery, Lee Kang-in, and Senny Mayulu all capable of stepping in. However, as per a report from Corriere dello Sport, PSG’s midfield could be strengthened yet further in the coming months.
The Italian publication understands that PSG are prepared to pay €60m for AS Roma’s Manu Koné (24). The Frenchman has recently enjoyed a breakthrough at international level and has emerged as a credible option to play alongside Aurélien Tchouaméni at next summer’s FIFA World Cup.
Corriere dello Sport adds that PSG have been tracking Koné for quite some time, and a contractual agreement with the midfielder may even be close.
