Today, Qarabağ played their first match in the Champions League play-off round.

The Azerbaijani champions faced Ferencváros. After trailing 0–1 in the first half, Qarabağ scored three goals in the second half to secure a 3–1 victory.

The second leg will be played on August 27 at the Tofiq Bahramov Republican Stadium in Baku.
