Qarabag continues its efforts to strengthen the squad with a new striker.

The Agdam representative, who secured a place in the Champions League league stage, has set Lorient forward Sambu Soumano as their main target, according to journalist Rudy Galetti.

The Azerbaijani champions are negotiating both with the Senegalese striker and his club. Qarabag has offered the French club €2.5 million plus €500,000 in bonuses for Soumano. English side Blackburn Rovers are also showing strong interest in the player.

It should be noted that last season Soumano scored 14 goals and provided 3 assists in 32 Ligue 1 matches for Lorient. This season, he has already scored once in two league appearances.
