Messi and Ronaldo have not been included in the list of candidates for one of the most prestigious individual awards in football for the second year in a row.

The Argentine has won the Ballon d'Or a record 8 times. The Portuguese has won it 5 times.

There are 30 players on the list of candidates for 2025. The Ballon d'Or presentation ceremony will be held in Paris on September 22. Last year, Manchester City midfielder Rodri won the award.
