Senegal and Iraq will meet in the final round of the 2026 FIFA World Cup group stage with both nations still chasing a slim chance of reaching the knockout rounds.
Victory is essential for both teams, while goal difference could also become a decisive factor.
Pap Thiaw's side entered the tournament with high expectations but suffered defeats against France and Norway.
Despite creating plenty of attacking opportunities, Senegal have struggled defensively.
Kalidou Koulibaly has come under heavy criticism, while goalkeeper Edouard Mendy was substituted during the defeat to Norway after another disappointing defensive display.
With qualification hanging by a thread, changes to the starting lineup appear inevitable as Senegal look for a more balanced performance.
Graham Arnold's team have also lost both of their opening matches but have shown determination throughout the tournament.
Iraq have defended reasonably well during the early phases of matches but have repeatedly lost focus under sustained pressure, conceding six goals in two games.
Senegal possess greater squad depth, more attacking quality and considerably more international experience than Iraq.
Although Iraq are capable of creating chances, Senegal should control possession, generate the better opportunities and eventually secure the victory they desperately need.
A high-scoring encounter still appears unlikely given the tactical importance of the fixture.
Prediction: Senegal to Win & Total Under 4.5 Goals.
