Sevilla are interested in signing Olympique de Marseille striker Neal Maupay (29), according to a report from Mohamed Toubache-Ter.
Maupay is something of a forgotten man at Sevilla. He was one of several players that Marseille sought to offload back in the summer, however, there were no takers. As a result, he remained at La Commanderie, although he has largely trained with the reserve side.
He has made just two first-team appearances, one in Ligue 1 (one minute in a game against his formative club, OGC Nice, back in November), and one in the Coupe de France, just before Christmas. Despite being reintegrated into the first-team set-up, the intentions are still clear.
OM are looking to offload the former Brighton and Hove Albion, Brentford, and Everton forward, and they may now have found a taker, with Toubache-Ter announcing a strong interest from La Liga side Sevilla. Maupay’s contract at OM runs until 2028.
