Tottenham Hotspur chairman resigns

Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy has stepped down after 24 years in charge, effective immediately.

Appointed in March 2001, Levy divided opinion among Spurs fans: while he oversaw the creation of a world-class stadium and training facilities, the club won only two trophies in more than two decades.
