Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy has stepped down after 24 years in charge, effective immediately.
Appointed in March 2001, Levy divided opinion among Spurs fans: while he oversaw the creation of a world-class stadium and training facilities, the club won only two trophies in more than two decades.
Peter Charrington, director at owners ENIC, who joined the board as recently as March, has been named Levy’s successor.
