Poor Serie A form leads to managerial change

Serie A side Verona have officially parted ways with head coach Paolo Zanetti. The club confirmed that the 43-year-old manager’s contract has been terminated following a string of poor results.

The decision comes after a heavy 4-0 defeat to Cagliari in the latest round. Verona have avoided defeat only twice in their last eight matches and currently sit bottom of the Serie A table with just 14 points after 23 games.
