Victor Boniface has joined Werder Bremen on loan from Bayer Leverkusen.

The Bundesliga club confirmed the 24-year-old striker will stay until the end of the season. According to Fabrizio Romano, Werder will cover part of his salary.

Earlier, AC Milan had pulled out of a move for the Nigerian after medical checks revealed health issues.

Last season, Boniface played 19 Bundesliga matches, scoring 8 goals.
