Two young midfielders signed on deadline day

Atletico Madrid have strengthened their squad with two signings on the final day of the winter transfer window, the club has confirmed.

The Spanish giants have signed Obed Gómez Vargas from Seattle Sounders and Rodrigo Mendoza from Elche. Both midfielders are 20 years old.

Atletico have handed Gómez Vargas a contract until summer 2030, while Mendoza has signed a deal running until summer 2031.

Earlier in the transfer window, Atletico Madrid also completed the signing of Ademola Lookman from Atalanta.
