Manchester City FC are reportedly at risk of being expelled from the Premier League, according to The Telegraph.
If multiple financial fair play breaches are confirmed, the club could be removed from England’s entire professional football structure.
The English Football League, which oversees the Championship, League One and League Two, is not formally required to admit a club expelled from the Premier League.
Should EFL refuse membership, Manchester City may need to apply to the National League — England’s semi-professional fifth division.
An independent commission is currently examining 115 financial charges against the club, with a final verdict expected later this year.
