Ousmane Dembélé (28) is set to make a long-awaited return to the Paris Saint-Germain squad this week, as per a report from Le Parisien.
Dembélé has been out since the start of September. The PSG forward joined up with the France squad, despite struggling with a fitness issue, and was injured after coming off the bench during the first game of the international break. It is an injury that caused a feud between Les Parisiens and Les Bleus, with the former accusing the latter of a lack of due diligence and an ignorance to the advice that they themselves provided.
Dembélé, who suffered a hamstring injury, has been nearing a return and, as per Le Parisien, he will be included in the matchday squad to face Bayer Leverkusen in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday. It remains to be seen whether the Frenchman, who has since won the Ballon d’Or, will play any part. In any case, Le Parisien don’t expect the former Barcelona forward to start against the Bundesliga side.
