Qarabag FK played their first UEFA Champions League group stage match tonight.

According to Sportal.az, Gurban Gurbanov’s team, returning to Europe’s top club competition after 8 years, defeated Benfica in Portugal with a stunning 3-2 victory.

In the upcoming rounds, Qarabag will face Copenhagen, Athletic Bilbao (Spain), Chelsea (England), Napoli (Italy), Ajax (Netherlands), Eintracht Frankfurt (Germany), and Liverpool (England).
