A dramatic UEFA Champions League group stage match took place in Baku, where Qarabag FK hosted English giants Chelsea at the Tofiq Bahramov Republican Stadium.
According to Sportal.az, the Azerbaijani champions earned a hard-fought 2–2 draw after an intense contest full of attacking football and determination.
Chelsea opened the scoring early through young winger Estevao Willian, who struck in the 16th minute to make it 0–1. Qarabag quickly responded, with Leandro Andrade equalising in the 29th minute, before Marko Yankovic converted a penalty in the 38th to give the hosts the lead — 2–1.
In the second half, Chelsea increased the pressure and levelled the score again when Alejandro Garnacho netted in the 53rd minute. Both teams had opportunities to score late on, but the match ended in a draw.
